Acrylic Nail Broke Off Real Nail

Acrylic nail broke off real nail. MMA has been deemed deleterious to the nails by the FDA in the 70s and has been banned for use as a nail chemical by most of the 50 states. Clean the nail with fresh acetone and wash with soap and water. Squeeze the surplus again into the bowl and maintain the swab on high of the acrylic for a number of minutes.
There would be a huge crack and the nail might be hanging out that needs to be cut off before doing anything else. The most important element is to make sure the nail is completely dry. I have acrylic nails i think that my real nail is broken.
Soaking them off would be the best option here. Cut down any length of the nail if you can file the acrylic nail as thinly as possible not reaching your natural nail and then soak it in acetone. The best thing you can do is soak off on Monday and assess what is there - is the nail saveable with another overlay or will you have to cut off the free edge and redo with either a tip or sculpt.
Another thought for you - many unscrupulous salons use a liquid called MMA to create the nails. When the nail gets injured the whole nail wont get ripped off easily. Taking something like nail clippers wont work as acrylic can be a bit thicker than clippers can get over.
The acetone will partially dissolve the plastic. It stopped my finger from hurting and protected my new nail as it grew. Because acrylic is very hard it can shatter when being cut and hurt you even more.
My fingernails and skin all around hurt really bad after getting acrylic nails at the salon. File down the surface of the plastic nail and soak it in acetone. When the acrylic has been removed the nail technician can simply cut off the broken nail if it is over the free edge.
